3 Batsmen with the most ducks in ODI cricket
Getting out for a duck is the last thing a batsman wants when he sets foot on the field. Getting off the mark remains the first priority of all batsmen around the world, since nobody wants a 0 in front of their name in the scorecard.
But what is worse than getting out for a duck, is going for a golden duck, which means getting out on the very first delivery faced.
Here we look at three players with the most ducks in ODI cricket:
#3 Mahela Jayawardene and Wasim Akram - 28 ducks
Jayawardene is one of the modern day legends with more than 12,000 runs in his tally at an average of 33.38. His 28 ducks have come from a total of 418 innings.
