South Africa's Jean-Paul Duminy has been one of the most prominent players for South Africa since almost a decade.

The all-rounder has performed exceptionally well as a stand-in captain for the Proteas. In the IPL, he hasn't made much of an impact to prove his worth.

Proteas have looked up to him in the past as a suitable batsman, dependable fielder and a more than worthy bowler. However, that does not seem the case now. While South Africa was forced to persist with JP Duminy and Farhaan Behardien as their secondary all-rounders a few years back, the team management's over-reliability on the all-rounder led to a massive decline in form.
