With Chris Woakes still recovering from his injury, Sam Curran is favourite to start in the playing XI. Sam Curran is one of the most promising talents going around England and has impressed everyone with his swing bowling.
The 20-year-old made his Test debut against Pakistan where he took 2 wickets. However, he is still a rookie at Test level and the experienced Indian batsmen will be keen to put the youngster under pressure. Curran normally bowls at around 130 kph and relies more on swing and if the Indian batsmen can negate that swing then they can easily take him to the cleaners.
