3 Indian players who might make a comeback to the limited-overs after ODI series loss

As India's 2-1 ODI drubbing at the hands of England unfolded, familiar inadequacies in their pace-attack resurfaced. None of the pace bowlers including Bhuvneshwar could make an impact in the ODI series. While Bhuvneshwar could be exempted from criticism due to his injury and consequent lack of match practice, the other bowlers failed tragically in justifying their inclusion in the playing XI. Moreover, India seemed to lack a good backup pace bowler who can be roped in in place of Bumrah or Bhuvneshwar whenever one of them gets injured or is given a rest.

Given these predicaments and a looming World Cup, India may seek a familiar face in the form of Shami to make their bench strength strong when it comes to bowling. Shami had a bad run in limited-overs cricket before being dropped from the England-bound ODI team. His bad form continued in the IPL as well. Personal reasons didn't help him either. But now that he continues to be a part of the Test squad, he has that opportunity with him to wreak havoc in England and make a case for himself ahead of the Australian tour.
