#2 The English batsmen are in red-hot form

The England team is currently ranked number 1 in ODI cricket. This is largely due to their attacking brand of cricket in the past 2 years.

They possess a strong batting line up with the likes of Jason Roy, Alex Hales and Jonny Bairstow at the top followed by Eoin Morgan, Joe Root, Jos Butler, Ben Stokes and Moeen Ali, who form the middle order.

The opening pair of Jason Roy and Jonny Bairstow have been the new find for England as both the openers have been attacking right from the word go and have laid a solid platform for the middle order to follow.

Alex Hales has been out of form recently and with Jonny Bairstow scoring runs at the top, Hales has been dropped down to number 3 spot.

Eoin Morgan and Joe Root have been scoring runs in the middle order and they have been instrumental in England’s success.

The form of Jos Butler has been the most heartening things for Team England. Jos Butler has continued his magic form from the IPL and has showcased his batting prowess by scoring a blistering 91 of 70 deliveries, which took his side to victory in the second ODI vs England.

Ben Stokes tore his hamstring after the first test vs Pakistan last month and has been rested. He didn’t take part in the One-day match vs Scotland and in the first 2 ODI games vs Australia.

Although we are unsure about his availability in the remaining fixtures vs Australia, he will be back for the ODI’s and T20’s versus the Indians starting next month.
