A swing bowler who can trouble batting line ups with his control and accuracy, Deepak Chahar has grown leaps and bounds in terms of developing his abilities to survive in international cricket. After making his T20I debut last year against England, Chahar has emerged as one of the better young bowlers in the Indian setup.

His success in IPL 2019 saw him once again picked as part of India's T20I side. Chahar has done a world of good to his cause of earning a permanent spot in the absence of senior players. With his 6-wicket haul against Bangladesh, he's also presented a case for himself to possibly be the third seamer for India in T20Is.

There is no doubt that Chahar will weave his magic in conditions that are conducive to seam and swing. For him to seal the spot, the 27-year old will have to further improve his death bowling skills considering the conditions that would be on offer in Australia next year for the T20 World Cup.

He was brilliant at the death in Nagpur, especially with the wet ball, but will be challenged against stronger sides having greater batting depth in the upcoming T20Is. If he develops his skills further, Chahar could be making his maiden appearance in the T20 World Cup next year.
