India failed to get a noteworthy opening partnership in England and it had an impact in the Test series. Hence, the Men in Blue will be determined to get a good start from the openers. A solid opening partnership builds the foundation to get a big score and the Indian openers will play a gigantic role to win the Test series.

Meanwhile, there are three openers in the Test squad against Australia and the openers are Prithvi Shaw, KL Rahul and Murali Vijay. As a matter of fact, Shikhar Dhawan has been dropped from the Indian Test squad and it will be interesting to see the opening combinations for the Test series.
