#2 600 runs in a single ODI tournament
Rohit Sharma owned the 2019 World Cup. ‘The Hitman’ dismantled several bowling attacks right through the course of the tournament and smashed a colossal 648 runs at a stunning average of 81. In the process, he became only the second Indian batsman after Sachin Tendulkar to score 600 runs in a single edition of the World Cup.
On the other hand, the closest that Kohli has come to this feat was when he smashed 558 runs against South Africa in the 2018 ODI series. The Indian skipper averaged a staggering 186 in that series and toyed with the South African bowling.
Kohli might be considered one of the greatest players of all time, but 600 runs in an ODI tournament has proved elusive so far for the batting dynamite.
