#3 Shikhar Dhawan

Shikhar Dhawan started his Test career with a bang by scoring 187 against Australia on debut at Mohali in 2013. Despite getting several chances as an opener in Test cricket, Dhawan has consistently failed to provide any valuable contribution with the bat for India, particularly outside the subcontinent. He has repeatedly got out by nicking the ball to the slips or the wicket-keeper.
In the last Test series against England, Dhawan managed to score just 162 runs in 8 innings at an average of 20.25. Hence, he has been rightfully dropped in the series against the West Indies and so it looks quite difficult for him to make a comeback in the future.
