Varun Aaron made his international debut in both Tests and ODIs for India in 2011. His career has been injury prone owing to which he hasn’t featured consistently. His last match in Indian colours was in 2015 in the test series against South Africa. Aaron has been known for his ability of bowling consistently over 145 mph.

Aaron, along with Shahbaz Nadeem, led the Jharkhand bowling to take them to the semi-finals of the 2018-2019 Vijay Hazare Trophy picking 42 wickets amongst themselves. Aaron picked up 18 wickets in eight games at an average of 18.05 in the Vijay Hazare. He was also a part of the India B team in the Deodhar Trophy, where he played one game and got figures of 2 for 45.

His performance in the on-going Ranji Trophy has been impressive as he is currently the leading wicket-taker for Jharkhand with 18 wickets in five matches coming at an average of 19.77. Aaron’s ability to bowl at the death with his sheer pace is one which the teams will be eyeing with his base price at 50 lakhs.
