The only superstar from the New Zealand team which toured India in 2012 who will be missed this year is none other than the dashing opener, Brendon McCullum.

The iconic Kiwi wicketkeeper-batsman who took off the wicket-keeping gloves towards the end of his career, established himself as one of New Zealand's finest captains before his retirement earlier this year.

During the 2012 India-New Zealand series, McCullum played under the leadership of teammate Ross Taylor and looked woefully out of form with the bat. In 4 innings, the hard-hitting batsman could muster just 87 runs at a shoddy average of 21.75 and with a top score of 42.

The New Zealand team, though, will miss not only Brendon McCullum’s able leadership but also his ability to play a game-changing innings.
