Sri Lanka v England - 1st Test
Sanath Jayasuriya stood hard at the crease

This was possibly the most boring Test match that the two teams have ever been involved in and only two innings were completed, however, Sri Lanka managed to score not only the biggest total ever against India but also the highest innings total in the history of Test cricket.

On an absolute batting paradise, India batted first and declared fat 537 for 8. However, when Sri Lanka batted, their total looked insignificant.

The hosts started batting towards the end of the 2nd day and then they kept batting till the end of the Test match. Opener Sanath Jayasuriya scored 340, while Roshan Mahanama got 225 and Aravinda de Silva 'chipped in' with a serene 126 as Indian bowlers were sent on an epic leather hunt.

They declared the innings closed at 952 for 6 eventually on the 5th day but by then the teams had decided to shake hands and call it a draw.
