The 'Kulcha' pair is running through sides for fun

Kuldeep and Chahal are currently running through sides for fun. They have been picking wickets in the middle overs for India which means half of the job is done for the team. Both of them replaced Ashwin and Jadeja in the aftermath of Champions Trophy drubbing in 2017 and since then have been performing admirably well. Such is the dominance of these two wrist spinners that they have kept Ashwin and Jadeja out of the team for such long.

As expected they were effective in India against Australia, New Zealand, and Sri Lanka in 2017. But the big surprise came when they were dominating South Africa in South Africa. They picked up 33 wickets between them in just 6 games and were instrumental in helping India win the series 5-1! No other bowler even came close to them in the number of wickets picked. Kuldeep being a left-arm wrist spinner is making life even more difficult as batsmen around the world are finding it difficult to pick him through the hand. He has picked up 26 wickets in just 8 games in 2018 in the ODI format. He recently took a 5 Wicket Haul in the opening T20I and the opening ODI as well. 10-0-25-6 are the best figures by a left-arm wrist spinner in the ODI format. Same was the case with his figures in the opening T20I. India will be hoping that these two bowlers keep troubling the batsmen in the upcoming World Cup as well.
