Australia and Sri Lanka squared off in a group-stage clash as part of the 2007 World T20 Cup. The former inserted Sri Lanka into bat after winning the toss and Stuart Clark was unplayable throughout as the burly pacer scalped the big wickets of Kumar Sangakkara (22) and Tillakaratne Dilshan (3) to finish with 4/20 that bowled out Sri Lanka for just 101.

Australia scaled the target in just 10.2 overs as Matthew Hayden made 58* (38b, 7x4, 2x6) sixes) and Adam Gilchrist remained unbeaten on 31. This win saw Australia qualify for the semifinals of the competition, while Sri Lanka were knocked out of the competition.

#1 South Africa vs Pakistan at Johannesburg - February 2, 2017

Graeme Smith
Graeme Smith

This was the first-ever instance of a team winning a T20I match by 10 wickets. South Africa sent Pakistan in to bat in the one-off T20I and restricted them to 129 for 8. Alfonso Thomas was the star performer for South Africa with 3/25, including key wickets of Imran Nazir (5) and Shahid Afridi (7).

Graeme Smith led from the front in the chase, blazing his way to 71* (40b, 9x4, 4x6). He was well supported by Loots Bosman, who finished with a well-made 53* (32b, 5x4, 2x6). Smith and Bosman combined extremely well to thwart any chance of a Pakistan comeback as the duo chased down the target in just 11.3 overs and asserted their dominance at the top of the order.
