Virat scored his debut World Cup century in the year 2011 against Bangladesh.

Virat Kohli has so far scored 39 centuries in ODIs, just 11 away from breaking the record of Sachin Tendulkar.

However, Virat holds another unique record when it comes to a century in ODIs that Tendulkar doesn't. The Indian skipper is the only cricketer to score a century in his debut World Cup match. Kohli scored his first ever World Cup century in the year 2011 against Bangladesh. He played an innings of 100 runs in 83 balls, which helped the Indian team get off to a winning start in the 2011 World Cup.

His 100 was followed by Virender Sehwag's stunning 175 - the perfect start to a memorable World Cup triumph.

And during a match between India and Bangladesh at Dhaka, the man donned the gloves when MS Dhoni took a break to answer nature‘s call.
