Hashim Amla

Hashim Amla scored 159 against Ireland in the group match of the ICC World Cup 2015 at Canberra with which South Africa scored a mammoth 411 runs for the loss of four wickets and win the match by 201 runs. The century was Hashim Amla’s first against Ireland. He had scored centuries against ten teams in ODIs previously and Ireland became the 11th team against which he scored a century.

Amla scored centuries against all the other nine test playing nations and Netherlands and Ireland being the associate nations. He equaled Ricky Ponting and Sachin Tendulkar who also scored centuries against 11 teams in ODIs. With Ponting and Tendulkar retired, their count will be a constant while Amla has the chance to go ahead of them before he retires.
