The current Indian skipper, Virat Kohli is one of the best batsmen of the current generation. He is one of the few cricketers who has been in good form in all formats of the game. Kohli made his debut against West Indies in 2011.

He was appointed as Test team captain after the retirement of MS Dhoni in 2014. He has played 69 Tests and scored 5994 runs at an impressive average of 54.49. As a full-time captain, he lost his first Test series in 2018 against South Africa.
