The 2018 edition of Asia Cup will go as one of the best of all time where Bangladesh almost gave a scare to the defending champions India in the finals, but the result went the other way on the last ball of the match as India won the title for the seventh time with just three wickets remaining in hand.

Firstly, Bangladesh pipped out Pakistan in a virtual semi-final match to set the summit clash with India, when everyone was expecting an India-Pakistan finale. This tournament was lit up by the rise of Afghanistan Cricket Team as a limited overs side where they shook everybody and defeated Asian giants Sri Lanka in the group stage match and tied Super Four match against India.

Some of the players also made their comebacks to their respective national sides and went on to give good performances, and now they look assured of playing in the upcoming edition of World Cup in 2019. The players who look all set of turning up in England are mentioned below.

#1 Lasith Malinga (Sri Lanka)

Sri Lankan veteran limited overs fast bowler Lasith Malinga was missing from the national side for quite some time before the Asia Cup due to some fitness and injuries issues. But he made his comeback in the game against Bangladesh where he took a fifer and looked in fine touch as earlier.

He looks adequately fit to play one more year which means that he is set to play the World Cup and it will be a treat for all his fans to watch him play in England.

#2 Mohammad Mithun (Bangladesh)

Mithun made his international debut in 2014 and looked in a great touch in the tournament, probably cementing his place in Bangladesh's team. He showed some great intent with two fifties in this tournament while batting in the middle order. If he continues to do so in the coming few months as well, then he looks assured of featuring in Bangladesh's playing XI in CWC 2019.

#3 Shaheen Afridi (Pakistan)

One of the most talked about Pakistani players is Shaheen Afridi. He was the rising star in the recent edition of Pakistan Super League and he continued impressing in the Asia Cup as well. Afridi took four wickets in three games and at just 18 years of age, he is just going to grow as a player and is most likely to be a part of Pakistan's World Cup squad.

#4 Asif Ali (Pakistan)

He gained limelight in the Pakistan Super League, through which he earned a call-up in the national side. He showed his clean hitting abilities in this Asia Cup as well and if he is able to find form against his name, then he can play the major role of a finisher in the Pakistan team at the World Cup as well.

#5 Ambati Rayudu (India)

Ambati Rayudu was missing from the Indian team in the last few years despite an average of 50+ in domestic cricket, but he came back strong in this year's Indian Premier League where he was one of the leading run scorers of the tournament. He continued with his form in the Asia Cup as well as and looked in good touch at number three.

With the arrival of Virat Kohli in the side, the position of number 3 will automatically go to the skipper but Rayadu has the ability of batting at any number, so he can easily solve the team's problem of a solid number four batsman in the World Cup.

#6 Ravindra Jadeja (India)

Star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja made his limited overs comeback to the Indian team after a gap of almost one year and came back strong with a four-fer in the match against Bangladesh.

Besides shining with the ball, Jadeja also batted well down the order in the matches against Afghnistan and Bangladesh with some gritty knocks. He can play a major role in providing a depth to the Indian batting and he looks almost assured of playing the World Cup in the Indian colours.
