Women's Hundred 2024 is in the history books. The 2024 edition of the Women's Hundred saw London Spirit become champions for the first time by defeating Welsh Fire in a thrilling final.

Two-time champions Oval Invincibles also made it to the knockout round, but they lost to London Spirit in the Eliminator. Overall, it was an entertaining tournament, where the cricket fans witnessed several exciting games.

Now that the Women's Hundred 2024 has ended, here's a look at the best playing XI from the tournament.


Openers - Ellyse Perry and Georgia Redmayne (wk)

Birmingham Phoenix captain Ellyse Perry will open the batting with London Spirit wicket-keeper Georgia Redmayne for this team. Perry had a decent season with the bat, where she managed 203 runs in eight matches for Phoenix.

Meanwhile, Redmayne ended as the third-highest run-scorer in Women's Hundred 2024. The wicketkeeper batter scored 229 runs in 10 innings, recording two half-centuries for the London-based team.


Middle Order - Alice Capsey, Heather Knight (c), Nat Sciver-Brunt, Deepti Sharma, and Marizanne Kapp

The star-studded middle-order of this lineup comprises Oval Invincibles batter Alice Capsey at number three. She aggregated 222 runs in nine innings and played a major role in the Invincibles' journey to the knockouts.

London Spirit captain Heather Knight will lead the best playing XI of Women's Hundred 2024. Knight led her team from the front with 271 runs in 10 innings, with her highest score being 65*. Nat Sciver-Brunt ended as the tournament's top scorer with 303 runs in just eight innings. However, her efforts went in vain eventually as Trent Rockets could not progress beyond the group stage.

Deepti Sharma and Marizanne Kapp will be the two main all-rounders of this team. Sharma starred in London's triumph with 212 runs in six innings at a strike rate of 132.50 and eight wickets at an economy rate of less than seven.

Meanwhile, Kapp was the second-highest run-scorer for Oval, aggregating 207 runs at an average of more than 51. With the ball, she took 11 wickets in nine innings while maintaining a brilliant economy rate of 5.92 runs per over.


Bowlers - Linsey Smith, Sarah Glenn, Jess Jonassen and Freya Davies

Freya Davies will share the new ball with Marizanne Kapp for this team. Davies was the fourth-highest wicket-taker in Women's Hundred 2024, picking up 11 wickets in eight matches for Welsh Fire.

The top three wicket-takers of the tournament were all spinners. Northern Super Chargers' left-arm spinner Linsey Smith topped the leaderboard with 15 wickets in just seven games. She maintained an incredible bowling average of less than 10.

Joining Smith in the spin bowling attack will be London Spirit's Sarah Glenn and Welsh Fire's Jess Jonassen. Glenn bagged 13 wickets in 10 matches, with her best figures being 4/22 in the league game against Birmingham Phoenix at Lord's. Jonassen played two games less than Glenn, but accounted for 12 wickets. Her economy rate was 6.62, and her best figures were 3/17.
