Easily the best bowler in the whole world currently, the 19-year-old has taken more wickets than any other bowler in ODI cricket since the 2015 World Cup. He was the second highest ODI wicket-taker in 2017 with 43 wickets and is leading the chart as of now in 2018, with 20 wickets. After breaking the record for fastest to 100 ODI wickets, Rashid is on the way of becoming one of best spinners in the history of cricket.

Jason Holder (West Indies)

From the days of winning the World Cup to fighting to even make it to the World Cup, it has been quite a disappointing few years for the team from the Caribbean. While Gayle and Samuels have been on the scene for a very long time and have won many matches for the team, it is their skipper Jason Holder who has been their best overall player in recent times.

Be it leading the bowling attack or holding together the team's batting lineup in the middle overs, Holder has been the only regular shining spot in the ODI team. Holder led by example during the ICC World Cup Qualifiers, taking 15 wickets and scoring 219 runs en route to taking Windies to the finals. With a long way to go for the Windies team, Holder will play a very important role in the future as well.
