Cricketers usually make headlines for their on-field performances. A terrific performance with the bat or ball earns them the accolades. Even a spectacular catch sometimes grabs headlines. But there are certain players who make more headlines in on the social media than on the field.

The social media has surely become a hit amongst the cricketers. Plenty of players like to remain active on their social media pages and they keep posting their updates. Sometimes they do create controversies too through their tweets.

But there are certain players who tend to create headlines only on the social media through their funny or controversial posts. These players are currently not on the radar of their national teams.

1. S. Sreesanth

The controversial Indian fast bowler was always in the news for all the wrong reasons. Controversies have become a part and parcel of his life. Recently he was in the news for deciding to contest the Kerala Polls for the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Sreesanth was a good prospect for India but his career was halted after he was caught in a spot-fixing controversy that took place in the IPL 2013. His cricketing career went on the wane after that.
