#2 Sanath Jayasuriya charged by the ICC
Former Sri Lankan international cricketer and captain Sanath Jayasuriya was found guilty of violating the anti-corruption code. Due to this, the ICC has charged the former cricketer.
Article 2.4.6 relates to the "failure or refusal, without compelling justification, to cooperate with any investigation carried out" while Article 2.4.7 "concealing, tampering with or destroying any documentation or other information that may be relevant to that investigation and/or that may be evidence or may lead to the discovery of evidence of corrupt conduct"
Jayasuriya played cricket for Sri Lanka between 1989 and 2011 and scored over 13000 runs in ODI cricket. He also captained the side for 110 Tests.
