The life of a cricketer is one that involves plenty of miles and very little time for everyday things most people take for granted. The amount of practice and training that goes on behind the scenes takes its toll on every cricketer. So it is always nice to see cricketers on social media, especially Twitter, taking things easy and just having some fun. While there have been plenty of interesting tweets from cricketers in 2015, there has also been some amazing banter taking place.Jimmy Neesham, who is arguably the funniest cricketer on Twitter, had his moments as usual, especially during the Day-Night Test, but arguably some of the best banter came when two cricketers were poking fun at each other. Here are five of the best twitter banter between cricketers in 2015.

#5 MS Dhoni and Darren Gough

Dhoni loves his bikes

If there is one thing that MS Dhoni loves, apart from hitting the ball out of the park, is his bikes. So when India’s limited-over captain posted a photo of his bike on Twitter and posed a question to his fans, he couldn’t have foreseen what would happen next.

Former England bowler Darren Gough replied to Dhoni, with a bike of his own and the pair shared an enjoyable conversation about their love for bikes.

#4 Harbhajan Singh and Yuvraj Singh

Aside from retirements and India’s performances on the pitch, another major talking point has been the number of Indian cricketers who have either gotten married or were engaged in 2015.

Mohammed Shami, Umesh Yadav were slightly low-key weddings, but the weddings of Harbhajan Singh and Rohit Sharma were more high-profile. And that’s not even mentioning Yuvraj's engagement.

After Harbhajan’s wedding, Yuvraj sent a tongue-in-cheek comment about Bhajji, to which the off-spinner responded. With Harbhajan’s wife Geeta Basra also chipping in, saying to Yuvraj, “You’re next in line.”

Here is the conversation:

#3 Glenn Maxwell and Aaron Finch

Finch and Maxwell have played together in both domestic and international cricket

One of the beauties of having cricketers on Twitter is that it seems to promote conversation even though they have absolutely nothing to do with the game in question. Take the third Test between India and South Africa for instance.

The visitors were bundled out for 79 on day two, which was their lowest score against India in Tests, and that prompted plenty of debate on the Nagpur pitch.

While there were many complaining about the pitch, two members of Australia’s World Cup-winning squad of 2015, Glenn Maxwell and Aaron Finch were involved in an interesting conversation on Twitter.

#2 Yuvraj Singh and Parthiv Patel

Parthiv Patel was once supposed to be India’s next big hope to don the wicketkeeping gloves. He made his Test debut as a 17-year-old and it looked as though, he might be the keeper India were looking for.

Unfortunately, it didn’t quite work out that way and Parthiv only played 60 matches for India, the last of which was almost three years ago. Although he is still only 30, he has fallen down the pecking order and is unlikely to play for India again.

But when Parthiv Patel posted an innocuous tweet about Pav Bhaji, nobody could have predicted the conversation that followed as, Yuvraj Singh joined in and a simple remark turned into a funny banter between two international cricketers.

#1 Kevin Pietersen and James Faulkner

Whatever Kevin Pietersen does, he almost always seems to make the news. Whether he is hitting balls out of the park for Sunfoil Dolphins in the Ram Slam T20 Challenge or for Melbourne Stars in the KFC Big Bash League.

But it is not just because of his work on the pitch that KP continues to dominate the headlines. Sometimes it is also for his Tweets. Like in this case, when he took to Twitter to respond to James Faulkner’s tweet after the Stars lost their opening game of BBL 2015 against Adelaide Strikers.

The Stars lost by 19 runs and while Pietersen scored 22 off 17 balls, Faulkner could only manage 10 from 10 as the visitors squandered a good position to lose the game.

Here is the duo’s conversation on Twitter about who was to blame for the defeat:
