Their middle order is where their strength lies with the likes of Kane Williamson, Ross Taylor and Tom Latham to follow. With the wickets in England expected to be flat, this batting order is capable of doing damage to any bowling attack.

The defending champions Australia come into this tournament on the back of some huge series wins against India and Pakistan. Also, the additions of Steve Smith and David Warner gives this team a brilliant look at the top.

Australian captain, Aaron Finch alongside an in-form Warner form a formidable opening pair. Their middle order also has strength in depth with the likes of Steve Smith, Usman Khawaja and Shaun Marsh to follow.

They also have the necessary firepower required towards the end with Glenn Maxwell and Marcus Stoinis. The defending champions are a formidable unit and they would be looking to bounce back from their recent downfall.
