England coach Peter Moores was in confident mood on Saturday as England headed to Perth to face India in the ongoing Tri-series in Australia. The match against India is said to take place in WACA Ground, where the potential tri-series final against Australia will take place next Sunday.
England is currently second in the points table with 5 points, they lost twice to the leading Australia as their only win was against India with bonus points. Moores said,
“The goal here was to try to settle quickly on our side for the World Cup and it feels as though we’re doing that now.”
“It’s a squad with options and the good thing is we have three or four (others) fighting to get in. We desperately want to get to the tri-series final. Australia are a good side, there’s no doubt, but so are we and we’re starting to show that. We can feel ourselves moving in the right direction”.
“I think we’ve got the best 15 players we could and now we need to get stuck in and work hard to win some games”.
To reach the Tri-series final, India have to win their both matches against England and Australia, possibly with a bonus point.
