England v India - 3rd ODI: Royal London One-Day Series
Kohli could only watch in frustration as the hosts scaled the Indian total with ease

Rohit Sharma: 1/10

The Indian opening batsman had a horrible day at the office, failing to read the swing deliveries from the English quicks at the top of the order. His stay at the crease was awkward, unconvincing, and painful to watch. Rohit Sharma could score just two runs off 18 deliveries on the day.

Shikhar Dhawan: 5/10

The left-handed batsman looked in sumptuous form and seemed set for a big knock on the day. Unfortunately, though, he was run-out for a well-made 44 in the 18th over of the day.

Virat Kohli: 6/10

The Indian skipper scored a vital half century but was bamboozled by a top delivery from Rashid, falling for an individual score of 71 off 72 deliveries. His captaincy seemed tepid in the second innings, as he failed to induce bowling changes that would've troubled the English batsman in the chase. His team selection was also not vindicated through the eventual result.

Dinesh Karthik: 4/10

The right-handed batsman came into the side in place of KL Rahul, who was dropped after scoring a duck in the previous game. Karthik looked solid in the middle and started off well despite playing his first international game since the final of the Nidahas Trophy. However, he was dismissed by the leg-spin of Rashid for a meager score of 21 off 22 deliveries.

Suresh Raina: 2/10

The CSK cricketer may have played in his last international match for India. He could score just one run with the willow and was ineffective with the ball in the second innings. He fielded well, as he always does, but could not make any significant contribution in the game.

MS Dhoni: 3/10

The former Indian captain got his eye into the middle and tried to play till the end of the innings to propel India to a total above 260. However, the right-hander was dismissed at the wrong moment, after scoring 42 off 66 deliveries for the visitors.

He had an uncharacteristically poor day behind the wicket, though, as he fell to a couple of misfields and even dropped a catch off Shardul Thakur's bowling. He managed to stump Joe Root in the 35th over of the game, but Yuzvendra Chahal had bowled a no-ball, nullifying the wicket-keeper's effort.

Hardik Pandya: 2/10

The Indian all-rounder could not bring his best to the table in the 3rd ODI, failing to create an impact in both the innings. He was expected to finish the Indian innings on the day but was dismissed for 21 in the 39th over of the game. He could not threaten the Englishmen with the ball as well.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar: 3/10

The seam-bowler, who was back into the side after a brief injury layoff, did not look at his hundred percent with the ball. He was pounded by the opening pair of Bairstow and Vince at the beginning of the chase, leaking runs galore. He added 21 valuable runs with the bat in the first innings though.

Shardul Thakur: 6/10

Thakur played a blistering cameo for India in the first innings, slamming 22 runs off just 13 deliveries. He claimed the very-important wicket of Bairstow early in the chase and was unlucky not to get a second scalp to his name, courtesy an uncharacteristic drop from Dhoni behind the stumps.

Kuldeep Yadav: 4/10

The ace in Kohli's bowling order could not win the hand in the game, as the pair of Morgan and Root handled Yadav with ease in their brilliant partnership. Yadav failed to impose his authority on the English pair and failed to come up with the goods on the day.

Yuzvendra Chahal: 4/10

The leg-spinner troubled the batsman in the second innings but had no wickets to show for his effort on the day. He could've dismissed Root later in the game but ended up overstepping at a crucial moment.
