English ODI captain Eoin Morgan played an outrageous shot in the Big Bash League T20 game between the Sydney Thunder and Brisbane Heat at the ANZ Stadium, Sydney way back in 2015.

In a match where former international cricketers Michael Hussey and Jacques Kallis opened the batting for Thunder and got them off to a brilliant start, Morgan stole the show with an unreal trick shot which he pulled off in the 18th over.

The then 28-year-old did not get much of the strike during his stay in the middle, but when he did, he happened to play a shot that probably hasn’t ever been played before in the game of cricket.

First, the left-handed batsman moved outside leg-stump and made ample room for himself. Once he realised that the bowler followed him with the ball, Morgan clearly played a late cut that went behind the leg-stump and ended up reaching the fence for a boundary.

Morgan finished the innings unbeaten on 12 from just 5 balls, with Kallis carrying his bat to a magnificent 97* (55 balls) at the other end. Syndey Thunder’s total of 208 was a too much for the Heat, who were bowled out for 152 in their chase.
