Team India is currently in England for a five-match Test series, which will be played from June 20 to August 4. The series will kick off at Headingley, with subsequently matches to be at Edgbaston, Lord's, Emirates Old Trafford and The Oval. The five-match Test series will mark the start of the new World Test Championship (WTC) cycle for both India and England.
The visitors will be led by a new captain in Shubman Gill, who was named Test leader following Rohit Sharma's retirement from the red-ball format. Team India will also be without the services of Virat Kohli, who announced his Test retirement just a few days after Rohit did the same. Among bowlers, seasoned off spinner Ravichadran Ashwin won't be there as has retired from international cricket.
