At 21 years of age, Avishka Fernando will be the youngest Sri Lankan cricketer to feature in the 2019 World Cup. Fernando actually made his international debut at a young age of 18. A a young opening batsman, Fernando might just be a back-up option for the island nation.

However, the hard-hitting batsman's experience of topping the run charts during Sri Lanka Under-19s' successful whitewash of their English counterparts could be considered by the team management at some point.

#02 Shaheen Afridi (Pakistan)

Age - 19

Shaheen Afridi is the youngest Pakistani player in their 2019 World Cup squad, being just one day younger than fellow teammate Mohammad Hasnain. It is incredible to note that Shoaib Malik made his ODI debut before both of them were even born.

Speaking about Shaheen, the youngster looks promising since making his entry into the international circuit. The left arm quick has 24 wickets in 14 ODI matches to his name. It would be interesting to see how Pakistan utilize this young bowler.
