India won a last ball thriller against Bangladesh

After India’s thrilling win against Bangladesh by just 1 run in the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup, there was some discontentment shown on social media over the commentary by the Indian supporters and players. The Indian commentators highly praised the Bangladeshi batting line-up for keeping their focus until the last three balls and were alive in the contest against the No.1 ranked team in T20s.

However, these comments by the Indian commentators weren’t taken kindly by many Indian fans. Some people felt that India wasn't given enough credit by the commentators, and Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan took to Twitter on that issue and expressed his disappointment over the commentary. India’s captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who won the match with the last ball run out, retweeted Bachchan with his own words with it.

Bangladesh played with immense intensity during the whole match but the Indians pulled out a super nervy performance in the last stage of the game and scripted a one run win. With this victory the Indian team keep themselves in the hunt for a semi-final berth and will take on Australia in Mohali in their last group stage match.

Harsha Bhogle earlier called this Bangladesh team as the best Bangladesh side he has ever seen.

Harsha Bhogle’s response

Harsha Bhogle took on Facebook to back his own comments and also talked about the match. He praised Indian player for keeping their composure in pressure and hailed them as strong. He also praised Jasprit Bhumrah and his 19th over where he only gave away 6 runs and almost brought back India into the game.

Bhogle admitted that he felt for Bangladesh as they were the better side for the majority part of the game but lost it in the end. He concluded by praising the quality of that match but not before praising India by saying that performance like this will win them many games.

Here is what Harsha Bhogle posted on Facebook:

One match, so many twists, such a test of temperament, so much drama and none of it scripted. You know why sport is one...
