#4 Prithvi Shaw

With Shikhar Dhawan on the sidelines, the opportunity to be India's backup opener is there and Prithvi Shaw could very well be considered for that role. He has already started making waves in the test arena and maybe it's time for him to be given a shot in the limited overs format.

There is very minimal chance of him playing any game even if he is selected in the squad but that experience will definitely make him better and who knows if any top-order batsmen get injured, Shaw could get a game and announce himself to the world.

#3 Mayank Agarwal

Mayank Agarwal had a late call-up into the Indian squad for the World Cup after Vijay Shankar was ruled out due to injury. He didn't get a game, but what his selection made clear was that Mayank is being looked at as an opener and he is on top of the tree as far as the list for backup openers is concerned.

Surely Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul will open the innings for India but there is a huge chance that Agarwal will be the backup opener for the series.
