India vs Sri Lanka 2017, 2nd T20I: Hits and misses

<p>

Hit: KL Rahul

KL Rahul was at his imperious best as he hit five fours and eight sixes to score a 49-ball 89 to pile misery on Sri Lanka bowlers at the Holkar stadium.

Shikhar Dhawan was rested for the T20I series and in his absence, Rahul was roped in to open India's inning with Rohit Sharma.

Rahul, who top-scored in the first T20I at Cuttack with a 48-ball 61, continued his fine form in the second outing too as he scored consecutive fifties and his third in the shortest format of the game.

Although he was reduced to a mere spectator when Rohit was firing on all cylinders, Rahul shifted gears after the skipper's fall and played a vital role as the hosts posted 260/5, the joint second-highest total in T20Is.
