India vs Sri Lanka 2017, 2nd T20I: Hits and misses

Sri Lanka captain Thisara Perera's horrendous run as a skipper continued to follow him in the shortest format of the game as India took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the T20I series after winning the 2nd match at Indore by a huge margin of 88 runs.

As a captain, Perera, even after winning the toss, could not capitalise as India posted their highest T20I score of 260/5 in 20 overs.

Although Perera claimed two wickets, he was not at all effective as a bowler and was smashed for 49 runs in 4 four overs at an economy rate of 12.25 per over.

When he walked out to bat, Sri Lanka were struggling to keep up with required run rate and his team wanted Perera to play a captain's knock but he could not even survive a single delivery and was dismissed for a golden duck.
