Ravichandran Ashwin: 8/10

Once again, Ravi Ashwin showed his class with the ball, and was the highest wicket-taker in the series, picking up 12 wickets in three Tests. Ashwin has been at the peak of his form, and would like to continue this scintillating run on South African soil, where he could be the lone spinner in the playing XI.

Wriddhiman Saha: 7/10

Indian top order batsmen looked in brilliant form in this series, as a result of which Saha did not get many batting opportunities through its length. The gloveman was decent behind the wickets except for one or two tough chances that did not go his way. On bouncy South African pitches, where edges will fly quicker, Saha's keeping skills would be put to glaring scrutiny. Will he stand up to the challenge?

Ravindra Jadeja: 7/10

Jadeja was also impressive along with Ashwin and looked in great touch with his left arm bowling. He picked up 11 wickets in three Tests and finished as second highest wicket-taker in the series, just one dismissal behind his CSK teammate. Though Ashwin will most likely be picked ahead of him, Jadeja will knock on the door with his accurate bowling. He had picked up a six-wicket haul in one of Tests India played in South Africa the last time they toured the country.
