India vs Sri Lanka, 2017: How the Indian squad fared in the ODI series

Hardik Pandya: 5/10

After coming back from injury, Pandya was not impressive, either with the ball or bat. Though he picked up 2 wickets in the third match, he was very expensive in the first spell, where Tharanga thrashed him for five boundaries in an over.

Also with the bat, he failed to perform especially in the first match, where a gritty knock was expected from him. He would like to improve in the next series with his all-round abilities.

Washington Sundar: 6/10

Another debutant in this series, Sundar was drafted in the second match in place of Kuldeep Yadav. Sundar did not get any opportunity with the bat, but with the ball he was impressive, picking up the lone wicket of Thirimanne. He was again absent from the decider due to fever.

Kuldeep Yadav: 9.5/10

Kuldeep made most of the opportunity he got in the series. In the first match, he didn't get to bowl even one over, but he supported with bat scoring 19 runs.

After getting dropped in the second, he came back strongly in the decider match picking up 3 crucial wickets. He was the trump card for India and rattled the Sri Lankan top-order. He was also awarded Man of the Match for his brilliant performance.
