Harmanpreet Kaur played a captain's knock of 103* runs, facing 88 balls, also winning the POTM award, and ending with a total of 325/3.
In response, the batting unit of South Africa showed a strong fightback with the batting prowess of Laura Wolvaardt scoring 135* from a ball apiece. Marizanne Kapp also supported with her batting, smashing 114 from 94 balls, which managed to push the South African women’s team closer to the target, but it resulted in a four-run loss, with Laura failing to strike in the last ball of the innings.
India have taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series and would wish to whitewash the Proteas 3-0.
