Pink cricket balls have been in the testing phase for quite a few years now, and a lot of international cricketers all over the world have been asked their opinion on the proposed change in ball colour - among them India ODI captain MS Dhoni.

The pink ball, which is the next big change the sport is about to see, will make its debut in the day-night Test between Australia and New Zealand in Adelaide in November 2015.

The concept of day-night Tests, which is for benefit of crowds who can watch the matches after working hours, may soon be the normal procedure for the longer format of the game, with the pink ball becoming a regular fixture.

A video has appeared showing Dhoni bowling to local batsmen with the pink ball at the MCG during India's tour of Australia in 2014-15. The clip shows a ‘visibility trial’ held by Channel Nine, and was shot after the end of the opening ODI game between India and Australia, in the series which also included England.

Dhoni, who likes rolling his arm around, is seen sticking to a good line and length in the session, and can even be seen surprising one of the batsmen with a short-pitched delivery.
