Guru’s team ahead of CSK vs RCB: V Kohli, AB de Villiers, M Vohra, S Yadav, L Rahul, M Lewis, A Russell, K Pandya, A Khan, M Markande, S Watson With Quinton de Kock unavailable, it is not clear as to how exactly Royal Challengers Bangalore are going to fit Parthiv Patel into their side. If he is brought in ahead of Washington Sundar, one of the two replaceable players, Virat Kohli would go into the match with only four frontline bowlers and Colin de Grandhomme.

It will also mean they will have three openers in Manan Vohra, Brendon Mccullum and Parthiv playing in the XI, which could mess up the batting order.

If it is in place of Vohra, then it will be at the cost of a player who was one of the reasons why RCB won their last match. But this one sorts out their batting order issues and also makes it easy for fantasy team managers to pick Kohli and AB de Villiers, as they will then be surely batting at No. 3 and No. 4.

Either way, they are the only two capped RCB players who are worth picking for this fixture. Chennai Super Kings, on the other hand, have selection issues of their own: Ravindra Jadeja isn’t doing much, Karn Sharma is hardly used, KM Asif is expensive, Faf du Plessis isn’t delivering and also pushes Ambati Rayudu down the order. So, expect a few changes here as well.

With Shane Watson already in my side and Rayudu demoted to No. 4, the only other CSK player who is worth picking is Suresh Raina. I only got him out yesterday, and with his side entering into a seven-match break period, there is no point in bringing him again, especially when I am not going to captain him.

Among the uncapped options available, if Vohra doesn’t play, it will be better to use this window and bring in someone like Siddarth Kaul instead of wasting it on Asif, who is not expected to return a lot of points anyway.
