Dinesh Karthik, one of India's finest wicket-keeper batsman was off the radar of the Indian selectors for quite long, but he has finally made a successful comeback in the Indian team. Karthik has all but booked his place in the Indian T20 team after making most of the chances he has been given.

Although he has been promoted down the order many a time and does not get many balls to play, yet he has made valuable contributions to the team batting down the order. Karthik raised many eyebrows when he was appointed as the new captain of the Kolkata Knight Riders but silenced all the talking with his thunderous batting display in the final of the Nidahas Trophy match.

He scored 29 runs off just 8 balls with the help of 3 sixes and 2 fours and snatched the match out of Bangladesh's hands from a point where India had a bleak chance of winning.

Still, Karthik is yet to cement his place in the ODI squad where he forms a potent option to fill the number 4 void which has been a topic of discussion for quite long. The Kolkata Knight Riders' skipper will look to prove himself once again in the league and must be eyeing the ODI berth for the England series to be held after the IPL.
