Explosive left-handed opener Colin Munro got very limited opportunities in IPL 2019. The Kiwi International played just 4 matches for the Delhi Capitals and managed to score 84 runs.
Delhi paid 1.90 crores for the services of Munro in the 2018 auction. In the past two seasons, Munro has failed to perform consistently and has never been able to cement his place in Delhi's starting XI. The franchise would have expected more from a player who has a lot of international experience.
It was difficult for Munro to make a place for himself in Delhi's XI due to the presence of first choice openers Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw. After poor performances over the past two seasons, it seems likely that Delhi will part ways with Munro ahead of the upcoming season.
