Kuldeep Yadav vaults to second spot in latest ICC T20I Rankings

Indian wrist-spinner Kuldeep Yadav has jumped one spot to reach a career-best second position in the latest ICC T20I rankings for bowlers. Although he played only the final match of the T20I series against New Zealand, the chinaman exponent made his mark with figures of 2/26 at Hamilton.

Afghanistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan continues to lead the T20I rankings for bowlers. He has a healthy lead of 65 rating points from the second-placed Kuldeep. Pakistan's Shadab Khan rounds off the top three with 720 rating points.

Meanwhile, Babar Azam has consolidated his top spot in the ICC T20I rankings for batsmen. The right-hander from Pakistan scored 151 runs from three matches in the South Africa series. As a consequence, he is ahead of the second-placed Colin Munro by 60 rating points.

While Munro remains at the second spot despite plundering 118 runs in three matches against India, Australia skipper Aaron Finch rounds off the top three with 806 rating points. West Indies opener Evin Lewis is placed fourth on the table.

Among all-rounders, Glenn Maxwell remains at the top of the table with 362 rating points. Bangladesh veteran Shakib Al Hasan and Afghanistan stalwart Mohammad Nabi are ranked second and third respectively.

While Kuldeep is the only bowler from India to feature in the top ten, the Men in Blue have two batsmen in the top ten. Rohit Sharma has gained three places and is now in the seventh spot. Despite dropping three spots, KL Rahul is still within the top ten.
