India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who injured his hamstring in the first match against West Indies, might play in the tri-series final against Sri Lanka.

Dhoni injured his hamstring while running between the wickets against West Indies. The team physio came out immediately and gave some treatment to MS Dhoni. He subsequently was ruled out of the tri-series and Ambati Rayudu was named as Dhoni’s replacement.

In the absence of Dhoni, Virat Kohli lead the Indian team. He scored his maiden ton as skipper against West Indies and also helped India register their first win in the tri-series. He also marshaled his troops effectively against Sri Lanka to bundle them for 96.

Dhoni, however, is not part of the Indian team which will tour Zimbabwe later this month.

The final match of the tri-series is scheduled tomorrow at Port of Spain.
