Fielding and catching play a crucial role in the T20 format. It's critical to hold on to every opportunity that comes your way and save every run possible, as a match's result can be determined by a single error in the field.

India, unfortunately, made quite a few errors on the field at Wellington. The major culprit was Dinesh Karthik, who dropped two sitters.

There were also sloppy pieces of fielding from Shikhar Dhawan, Vijay Shankar and also the skipper Rohit Sharma in the first T20I. India would surely look to put on a much better fielding and catching display in the last two games.

The positioning of some key fielders should be looked at more closely. India are a fine fielding unit but they had a bad day which resulted in a big defeat. They would want to put that completely behind them.
