Andhra Premier League 2024: Top run-getters and wicket-takers after Coastal Riders vs Rayalaseema Kings (Updated) ft. Shaik Rasheed & Satyanarayan R

On Sunday, June 30, 2024, Coastal Riders and Rayalaseema Kings locked horns in the inaugural match of the Andhra Premier League 2024. Dr. Y.S.Rajashekar Reddy ACA-VDCA International Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam hosted the clash.

The Rayalaseema Kings won the toss and chose to field first. Shaik Rasheed, captain of the Coastal Riders, led the charge with an impressive 87 runs off 57 balls. Despite solid contributions from Manyala Pranith (14) and Abhishek Reddy (17), who added 31 runs together, the Coastal Riders faced a challenging bowling attack from the Kings.

Satyanarayan Raju and Bodhala Kumar each took two wickets, while Mohammad Rafi, Midde Anjaneyulu, and Shaik Kamaruddin each claimed one wicket.

In their reply, the Rayalaseema Kings got off to a strong start. Kogatam Haneesh Reddy (23) and Prashanth Kumar built a solid 51-run opening partnership.

Prashanth Kumar continued his fine form, scoring 38 runs, and along with Roshan Kumar, who scored a brisk 47, they put up a 52-run stand. Thanneru Krishna (21*) and Thota Sravan then guided the team to a comfortable victory, completing the chase in just 15 overs with seven wickets to spare.

Karthik Raman of the Coastal Riders managed to take two wickets, while Shaik Abdulla picked up one. However, their efforts were not enough to prevent the Kings from securing the win.

Coastal Riders skipper Shaik Rasheed topped the most runs leaderboard after scoring an outstanding 87 not out of 57 deliveries. His knock featured seven fours and four sixes.

Roshan Kumar of Rayalaseema Kings secured the second position with 47 runs at an excellent strike rate of 195.8. His teammate Prasanth Kumar took the third spot, scoring 38 off 22, comprising four fours and two sixes.

Kogatam Reddy claimed the fourth rank after an 18-ball 23-run knock against Coastal Riders. His partner Thanneru Krishna scored 21 off 13 and finished fifth on the first day.
