Virat Kohli wore a different jersey for a while on Saturday before changing back to Tri color stripes jersey.

Team India stalwart Virat Kohli sported a different Indian jersey with white stripes during the initial moments of the match against Pakistan on Saturday (October 14) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Indian captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and opted to bowl first in the contest. In a welcome development, Shubman Gill returned to the playing XI after recovering from a bout of dengue fever. Ishan Kishan made way for him in the side.

All the Indian players are wearing a jersey with tri-color stripes on the shoulder for the ongoing World Cup. Kohli was the only player wearing a different jersey this afternoon during the national anthem and for the initial few overs while fielding. Kohli realized this and went off the field for a while to change into the tri-color threads.

Fans noticed this and shared a couple of pictures of Virat Kohli with both jerseys during the match against Pakistan. You can see them below:

Virat Kohli has had a good start to the World Cup: Sanjay Bangar ahead of IND vs PAK clash

Former Indian player and batting coach Sanjay Bangar opined that Virat Kohli looked in great rhythm and has got off to a good start in the ongoing 2023 World Cup.

Kohli has hit two half-centuries in both the matches against Australia and Afghanistan and played a vital role in the successful chases. While previewing the IND vs PAK game on Star Sports, Bangar said:

"Virat Kohli has had a good start to the World Cup. He had a match-winning partnership with KL Rahul in the first match. So he batted well. He wasn't tested in the last match."

On Indian captain Rohit Sharma, he added:

"Rohit Sharma made the match so easy, so he didn't have to do much on his home ground but he is in good rhythm for sure, and whenever he is in good rhythm, he tries that the phase goes very long and that is why he has so many achievements to his name."
