During a recent interview with Lallantop, the 37-year-old was asked how many hours his teammates spent playing Playstation.

"Abhi toh bohot kam but jab tours hote the saare players Playstation khelne ke liye ready hote the. Din ke do teen ghante toh hum khel lete the. Match days pe nahi, non-match days pe. Do teen ghate toh kaha nikal jaate the pata hi nahi chalta tha (Not a lot now but on tours players would be ready to play Playstation. We would play 2-3 hours a day. Not on match days but on non-match days. We would not realize how 2-3 hours would pass)," he said.

Cheteshwar Pujara was then asked to name the best Playstation players in the Indian team. He referenced the likes of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, MS Dhoni, Jaydev Unadkat, Virat Kohli, Wriddhiman Saha and Shikhar Dhawan, as well as Rishabh Pant and Shubman Gill among the younger generation. However, Pujara made it clear that Unadkat was the best of the lot, saying:

"Jaydev Unadkat. Playstation mai bhi professional tournament organize hoti hai toh woh usme bhi participate karte hai aur usme bhi kayi baar trophy jeet ke aya hai woh (Jaydev Unadkat. There are professional tournaments organized in Playstation and he would participate in those and has won trophies many times as well)."

Cheteshwar Pujara not in India's Test squad for England tour

Meanwhile, despite his experience at the Test level, Cheteshwar Pujara has once again been left out India's squad for the upcoming England tour. India is set to play a five-match Test series in England beginning June 20 in Leeds.

The veteran has represented India in 103 Tests, piling on 7,195 runs at an average of 43.60 with 19 hundreds and 35 half-centuries. In the absence of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, who retired from the format recently, many believed Pujara would get a recall.

The right-hander, who made his Test debut against Australia in 2010, last played for India in the World Test Championship (WTC) final against the Aussies in 2023. He scored a total of 41 runs across both innings with India losing the match by 209 runs.
