Pondicherry Premier League 2024 Most Runs and Most Wickets after White Town Giants vs Yanam Royals (Updated) ft. Ameer Zeeshan and Fabid Ahmed 

The Pondicherry Premier League 2024 action on Saturday (August 17) witnessed two matches taking place at Puducherry. In the first game, Karaikal Kniights secured a 24-run victory against Mahe Megalo Strikers, while White Town Giants prevailed over Yanam Royals in the second clash.

The Knights batted first and posted a modest total of 158, with contributions from Waseef Mukadam (31) and Mohammed Aqib Jawad (28). Fabid Ahmed and Thivagar Gopal picked up two wickets each for the Strikers. Then, the Strikers’ batters failed to get going, as they were restricted at 133/9, with S Santhosh Kumaran and Aman Ahuja scalping three wickets apiece. Skipper Ahmed’s valiant knock of 55 off 39 went in vain for the team.

Then, the Royals could not do justice to their decision of batting first, as they could only set a target of 148 for the Giants. Ameer Zeeshan was the top-scorer for the side with an impressive knock of 68 off 54. Harikrishna Shishir and Adil Ayub Tunda did well to take two wickets apiece. In response, the Giants got support from Ramachandran Ragupathy (58) and captain Jay Pande (30), as they sealed the chase in 18 overs.

Ajay Rohera continues to lead the batting charts with a run tally of 398 runs in nine innings at a prolific average of 66.33, hitting two centuries. He is followed by Ameer Zeeshan Nazar (322), who climbed to this position on the back of Saturday’s performance. Aman Hakim Khan (302) is the third batter to cross the 300-run mark, with a top score of 84.

Jayasundaram Karthikeyan (268), Ramamoorthy Ragavan (242), Jay Pande (235), Rajinikanth Jashwanth Shreeram (215), and Bhanu Anand (212) have done well to hold the subsequent positions. K Sai Satwik (185) and J Sunil Bishnoi (179) take the last two positions to round off the top 10 batters of the tournament.
