White Town Giants defeated Mahe Megalo Strikers by nine wickets and are at the top of the Pondicherry Premier League points table with seven wins and three losses.

Meanwhile, the Strikers slipped to the second spot with six wins in 10 games. Villianur Mohit Kings dropped to the third position with 12 points in their account.

Ossudu Accord Warriors finished fourth in the points table, having won five out of 10 games and lost four.

White Town Giants finish atop the standings while Yanam Royals hold the wooden spoon

In their fixture against Karaikal Knights, Yanan Royals opted to bat first and were bowled out for 161 runs in 18.2 overs. Neyan Shyam Kangayan was the top-scorer with 62 runs while Ujwal Gowda and Ameer Zeeshan added 28 and 24 runs, respectively. Rajeev Rahul, M Vaibhav, Ankit Sharma, and Vikas Gupta took two wickets each.

In reply, Karaikal Knights chased the target in 19.2 overs. Openers Udayanarayanan Karthiraja (59) and Paras Ratnaparkhe (58) stitched a 97-run opening partnership to give their side the perfect start. Later, Ankit Sharma, the Knights captain, scored 22 off 19 and finished the game with six wickets in hand.

In the following game, Mahe Megalo Strikers were to put to bat first. Ritesh Gudge smashed an excellent 73-run knock, featuring 10 boundaries. Kamaleeshwaran Ambikapathy scored 41 runs off 29 balls, while Divyanshu Yadav added 23. Sreeraj and Thivagar Gopal also made handy contributions as the Strikers set a 172-run target.

However, Akash Kargave (82* off 53) and Jay Pande (69* off 52) helped the Giants chase the target inside 18 overs with nine wickets in hand.
