India all-rounder Abhishek Sharma, who recently smashed his maiden century in T20I against Zimbabwe, took his first-ever wicket by dismissing Tadiwanashe Marumani in the fourth T20I at Harare Sports Club on Saturday, July 13. The left-arm spinner sent back Marumani for 32 runs off 31 balls to provide the first breakthrough for the Men in Blue. Zimbabwe lost their opening wicket for 63.
The dismissal came in the ninth over of Zimbabwe’s innings. Abhishek bowled a short ball and Marumani tried to pull it over mid-wicket only to find Rinku Singh near the boundary ropes. The batter got more height than distance and Rinku comfortably took the catch.
