Former Team India and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni might be a man of few words, yet, he revealed his humorous side during an IPL game in 2017. Playing for the now-defunct Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS) against the Mumbai Indians (MI) in the tournament's second game, Dhoni had a fitting response to former England batter Kevin Pietersen.

Pietersen, part of the commentary team, asked Dhoni's teammate Manoj Tiwary (wired up) to convey that he is a better golfer than Dhoni to the legendary wicketkeeper.

"Manoj, just tell MS that I am a better golfer than him," said Pietersen to Tiwary.

Tiwary told Dhoni the same to which the former captain responded:

"He’s still my first Test wicket."

The response drew laughs from the others in the commentary box, including Pietersen.

Here is the video of the hilarious moment and MS Dhoni's savage reply to Pietersen:

For context, Dhoni was referring to Lord's Test in 2011 when he was captaining India and Pietersen was representing England. With ace pacer Zaheer Khan injured, Dhoni resorted to bowling his part-time medium-pacers to provide a breather to his regular bowlers.

And right on cue, the Indian skipper had Pietersen caught behind until a video referral overruled the decision and the batter was adjudged not out.

While he scored over 17,000 runs in his illustrious international career, Dhoni finished with only the lone wicket of Travis Dowlin against the West Indies in the 2009 Champions Trophy.

"I was NOT Dhoni’s first Test wicket. Nice ball though, MS" - Kevin Pietersen

Kevin Pietersen broke the silence on him being Dhoni's first Test wicket by sharing the video of the delivery as evidence to deny the same last year.

It was the third ball of the 80th over of England's first innings of the series opener at Lord's when Dhoni seemed to have nicked Pietersen off before the review saved the batter.

The champion England batter took to his X handle to share the video of the moment and post:

"The evidence is CLEAR! I was NOT Dhoni’s first Test wicket. Nice ball though, MS! Thanks for sending this through, SkyCricket."

Unfortunately for Dhoni and India, Pietersen made them pay by scoring an unbeaten 202 off 326 deliveries to set up England's massive first innings total of 474/8 declared. They ultimately won the game by 196 runs and the series by a 4-0 margin.
